If they riot the flamethrowers instantly catch them all on fire, which is basically the biological equivalent of a mechanoid getting stunned by emp. Without the risk of a relatively small fire spreading over your entire base I love flamethrower turrets indoors to guard the prison. I hate to be the guy who suggests a mod to solve every problem, but you gotta get some version of a metal doesn’t burn mod. I was lucky that my nutrifungus harvest were still on the fields plus I had a panic room with 40 meals, just for such emergency. Gotta reconstruct key structures and base should be good as new.

I got a bit unlucky as I picked up two tortured artists cause their skills were just too good.
